My Magazine will be focused around the underground rap style and similar styles such as hip hop, crunk and dub step etc ...
Titles that i have considered to call my magazine have all be chosen because i believe they fit in with the chosen genres and are fairly catchy and iconic. They are the following:
Situation Nation
Streets Of Gold
No Pain. No Pity. No Fear.
The Images i have chosen to use are loyal to the genre and are in your face, sort of gangster because this is what Rap is usually associated with. The images could be considered controversial and violent. I got my image ideas from rappers such as Eminem, Lil Wayne, 50 Cent, and DMX.
The design style i chose to use is quite bold with little colour to focus on the main theme which is the figure (main image/s). The Main page has one large figure standing in the middle surrounded by a few headlines and insider details of what is in the magazine. The contents page will have a few images relevant to the genre and prehaps a story that is mentioned on the contents. The colours again will have only certain and few colours to emphasise surrounding content. The double page spread will contain more writing than images and it will be fairly large stories due to the fact that they are normally fairly important stories relevant to something mentioned on the cover or contents. Colour scheming will be the same.
The content that will be used inside of the magaziine will be something to do with rap battles, or rival mc's in a gang war etc ... This is what rap is normally associated with and alot of rappers normally talk about other people. They will also talk about personal problems. Another thing my magazine will feature is adverts and concert giveaways.
